Split Large Files

Easily split large zip files into multiple small files using FileThings:

1. Download and install the free FileThings application,

2. Open the FileThings application, select or drag and drop .zip/.rar compressed archive files into the window,

3. Click the ‘Split file’ button in the things toolbar, then fill in the size of each slice file as needed,

4. Choose the file save location, click ‘Run’ to quickly split the large file into multiple small files (the original large file will not be deleted)

The generated files will have .001, .002 as suffixes.

Restore Large Files (Merge File Slices)

1. Open the FileThings application, just select or drag and drop the .001 file into the application window. The software will automatically find all subsequent numbered files with the same file name

2. Click ‘Run’ to automatically merge all file slices into a single file.
